Pakistani Hackers have launched a cyber attack operation named “Operation Salar” against an Indian cyber attack on Pakistani websites. According to this cyber attack, Pakistan has successfully hacked four of India’s main websites and gained access to the sensitive data of India. Pakistan has claimed that they have access to the data of four main sites. The hackers are part of a volunteer group, It was the response to the recent cyber terrorism attack by the Indians to hack the Pakistani sites. This terrorism is targeting Pakistan’s Digital infrastructure by cyber attacks.

According to Pakistani hackers, their mission, titled “Operation Salar,” is to reveal and counter the digital conflict that Indian agencies started. Before the hours of this operation, the official account on X of Pakistan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs was compromised. Later, the ministry confirmed that their account was hacked, and during the hack, posts were made that had no connection with the official policy or communication.

This digital cyber attack was done on the heels of a cybersecurity advisory firm by Pakistan’s National Cyber Emergency Response Team, warning that enemies could exploit current geopolitical tensions to spread disinformation and disturb critical national networks. This incident adds new dimensions to the India-Pakistan war, and it shows that now the war has taken a new face, it has gone beyond land and air war, and now a cyberspace war has started; the digital infrastructure and national security base are under threat.
