The PCB dropped Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah, and Mohammad Rizwan from the Pakistan squad. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) disclosed its T20I squad for the upcoming T20 series against Bangladesh. This series will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The dates of the matches will be announced soon. The PCB has selected the 16 players, and the selection is based on the performance of the players in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In addition, the senior players are dropped from the T20I squad, including the former captain of the Pakistan Cricket team, Babar Azam, Wicket keeper Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, a renowned Pakistani fast bowler.

In a press release published by PCB, the selection of the players and the decision to drop players are based on the performance in the ongoing HBL PSL X. Moreover, PCB has selected young players for the upcoming series and experienced players of the Pakistan Cricket Team. In addition, Captain Salman Ali Agha, along with Vice-Captain Shadab Khan, will lead the squad. Many experienced players, including Hassan Ali, Saim Ayub, and Fakhar Zaman, have been selected for the T20I squad.
The young players who were selected for the New Zealand Tour are also dropped from this squad, including Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Abdul Samad, Jahandad Khan, Umair bin Yousuf, Usman Khan, and Sufyan Muqeem. The squad of 16 members revealed today by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is:
