Bhartiya Janta Party of Indian Government has refused to send its national cricket team to visit Pakistan for the opening ceremony of ICC Champions Trophy. The questions are arising about whether the Indian cricket team or their Captain Rohit Sharma will to come to Visit their neighbouring country Pakistan or not for the ICC event.
The ICC Champions Trophy will start from Feb 19 and will end on March 9 in Pakistan. While none of the Indian Team has not toured Pakistan after Asia Cup 2008, meanwhile Pakistan has toured India many times for different ICC events. To include India in the eight-nation Champions Trophy, the ICC has recently adopted a two-way hybrid model with the agreement of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to host all the Champion Trophy matches involving India in Dubai.
Under the same agreement, For all future ICC events Pakistan will not travel to India, where India holds the Pakistan’s match at impartial ground. The Indian Media has asked several questions from the Pakistan Cricket Board to validate whether the BCCI or the International Cricket Council has approached the PCB in this regard.

Furthermore, PCB has not received any such request even if PCB had already submitted the list of participated Teams including Players, staff and their coaches and other officials to help them in issuing Pakistani visas on time. According to sources, PCB letter was intended for all the participants not for only player or specific country.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has informed the ICC that the opening ceremony featuring all the teams with their captains will take place in Pakistan. This is under control with all ICC events. The PCB official statement is neither a country nor a specific captain. The host nation has the responsibility to provide visas to the players, officials, commercial partners, media and and viewers.
The PCB assure that they will fulfil this responsibility as they did before when an ICC survey team comprising three Indian nationals, visited Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore places. All the teams have to participate the opening ceremony of Champions Trophy traditionally. The ICC has assured that the Indian team and their captain will attend the opening ceremony through online contact.
