Pakistan’s Former Pacer Mohammad Amir broke his silence after retiring from International Cricket. In an interview with a private news channel, Amir said that he felt neglected after the T20 World Cup 2024. Amir highlighted the various aspects of the game. The 33-year-old left-arm pacer expressed sadness over the way Amir was treated after the World Cup. Mohammad Amir said,” After the T20 World Cup, no one even talked to me, no one said, even no one told me if I am a part of the upcoming plans.”

Amir further said, “A wise person understands the signs. If you are not in the plans, then you have to think about yourself, which I did. I have made up my mind now. Thank you very much, International Cricket.” Amir talked about his sacrifice of the county contract over the International Cricket. He also highlighted the expenses he sustained during the mega event. He said, “After leaving my county deal, I came to play the World Cup. Honestly, I ended up spending more money than I made. Moreover, I travelled with my trainer, and those expenses came out of my pocket. But that’s a different matter.

Mohammad Amir praised Babar Azam and expressed confidence in his comeback in cricket. He said, Babar is the great player Pakistan has right now. He further highlighted that Babar has a technical problem in his ace batting. In addition to this, Mohammad Amir had declared his retirement from International Cricket in 2020. Mohammad Amir alongside Imad Wasim declared their availability for the T20 World Cup 2024. After losing in the T20 World Cup, Amir again declared retirement in December 2024. He will not play in the International Cricket, which disappointed many fans.
