Iran’s President, Dr Pezeshkian, will visit Pakistan on Saturday, 2 August, the Foreign Office confirmed on Friday. Iran’s news agency IRNA reported on Wednesday that the President’s Political Advisor said he will visit Pakistan for two days to discuss cultural and trade matters with key figures. On Friday, the Foreign Office confirmed that Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian will visit Pakistan from August 2 to 3 at the invitation of Pakistani Premier Shehbaz Sharif. High-ranking officials, including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, senior ministers, high-level delegations, and other high-ranking officials, will accompany Iran’s President during the visit.

According to FO, the Iranian President will hold talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and also meet President Asif Ali Zardari. This is Dr Pezeshkian’s first official visit as the Iranian President. Pakistani PM has visited Iran on 26 May, 2025, and hopefully, this visit will strengthen brotherly relations between the two muslim countries Iran and Pakistan. Pakistan has recently expressed support and a willingness to work with Iran. Experts say this is important to protect shared interests as global politics changes. Dr Pezeshkian is the second Iranian President to visit Pakistan in many years. The visit was originally planned for the end of July.

He stated that Pakistan consistently supports peace and makes wise decisions in the region, welcoming all efforts to reduce tensions and promote dialogue with Iran. Additionally, the Prime Minister visited Iran on May 26 as part of his tour of friendly countries to thank them for supporting Pakistan during the India-Pakistan conflict. He met Iranian leaders, including Ministers and high-ranking officials, to strengthen bilateral relations.
