The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has temporarily suspended Haider Ali after Greater Manchester Police arrested him on charges of rape. According to police, the alleged unfortunate incident took place on July 23, 2025, at a premises in Manchester. Haider Ali, a 24-year-old cricketer, was arrested by police in Hove on August 4, but later he was released as the Police started an investigation. Haider Ali was allegedly arrested while playing for Pakistan Shaheens in a three-day match at Beckenham against MCC Young Cricketers and the South Asian Cricket Academy XI cricket team. Greater Manchester arrested the Pakistani Batsman Haider Ali after the rape case was filed on August 4, 2025.

It was reported that the incident took place on 25 July at the house in Manchester. Last month, the Cricket Board announced that Saud Shakeel will captain the 18-member Pakistan Shaheens squad, and Ali was part of the team, which will tour England for three 50-over matches and two three-day matches, which took place from July 17 to August 6. The Police informed the Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB) about the investigation involving Pakistani player Haider Ali during the tour.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), they have to ensure that the legal rights of all players are fulfilled, and they have fulfilled this responsibility.
