Pakistan has temporarily closed its airspace for 48 hours by cancelling all domestic, commercial, and International flights across the country, including the Airports of Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Sialkot, and all other airports. Aviation Sources said that all inbound and outbound flights are rerouted to Karachi International Airport because all the operational flights at Islamabad Airport have been cancelled due to the shutdown. Flight SV-726 of Saudi Airlines, which was planned to land at Islamabad Airport, was also redirected to Karachi Airport.

Aviation Authorities have requested that passengers not come to the airport and go back home due to security risks. The Civil Aviation Authority said that normal flight operations will start again after the situation stabilizes. In addition, the main reasons for shutting down all the airports are not revealed; according to Officials, it is part of broader security measures. Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) rescheduled all its flights for 12 hours due to security reasons. According to the spokesperson of PIA, all the passengers are advised to stay in contact with PIA call centers to get updates about their flights. The spokesperson said the passengers will be informed about the changing situations. Sialkot International Airport will be closed and will wait for the next order. The Government of Pakistan has imposed a shutdown in light of the current national security situation. The spokesperson of the Airport has confirmed the shutdown of the airport and also stated that the decision has been taken by the Government to ensure the safety of people. Soon, the Shutdown of airports will be lifted.
