Today, around 3 to 4 p.m., a fire broke out at the renowned furniture shop Ranjha Furniture. The fire was too high and couldn’t be controlled, so the nearby people called Rescue 1122 Kot Addu and the Fire brigade. The rescue team arrived at the spot and controlled the fire. At that time, traffic and citizens blocked the G.T. Road. Deputy Commissioner of Kot Addu Manwar Abbas Bukhari arrived at the scene.
Ranjha Furniture was founded by the Ranjha Family who live in Kot Addu, Tahir Ranjha and Hamza Ranjha are the owners of the Shop. The Owner said that the material inside the shop costs around 2 to 3 Crore and the owners still don’t know how much loss they had. The Owner talked about how the fire began, The Municipal Committee of Kot Addu ordered them to remove the steel shed in front of their shop and during cutting the sheds with the cutter some sparks of fire fell inside the shop and the foams caught fire and then fire blaze.

There was no loss of life and no one was damaged in this fire incident. Nearby shop owners and people around started helping to take control of the fire. The Rescue team arrived with the fire brigade at the scene and took control of the fire. Deputy Commissioner of Kot Addu said in an interview that he arrived at the spot and the rescue teams were informed by D.C Kot Addu. The situation was very critical at that time but the rescue team of Kot addu controlled the fire. D.C also said that he called the rescue teams of Kapco, Parco and Fatima Sugar Mills. In addition, Around 6 to 7 fire brigade vehicles arrived at the spot. He also appreciated the efforts of rescue teams and the safety in charge of the Kapco Syed Najam Ul Hassan. Later the road was cleared and traffic reopened.
Syed Najam Ul Hassan who is safety in charge in Kapco said in an interview that fire is controlled by the cooperation of firefighters and rescue team 1122. He added nearby buildings and houses were not damaged and the blaze harmed no humans but the Ranjha furniture was destroyed. He said D.C Kot Addu supervised the whole situation and firefighters took control of the fire. If the rescue is not informed on time, the blazing fire will also destroy nearby buildings and houses.
