Jamaat-e-Islami and various traders’ Associations have called Shutter-Down strike in Pakistan to express solidarity with the fellow Muslims of Palestine and protest against the israeli cruelty in Gaza on Saturday, 26 April 2025. The Shutter-Down strike will be against israel’s cruelty. Almost all the markets and shops, including the business activities, are closed in several cities. Traffic is usually lower than on other business days, and Lawyers have also boycotted the court proceedings.

To show support for the people of Gaza, Rallies should be held to protest in different areas of Pakistan. Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman of Jamaat-e-Islami said that the Pakistani nation will not tolerate this massacre of the people of Gaza anymore. In addition, Ajmal Baloch, President of the All Traders Association, declared that a protest of traders will be held at Abpara Chowk, Islamabad, at 5 PM. Ajmal Baloch also called for the UN Secretary-General’s resignation over the Gaza crisis.

In addition, the Health Ministry of Gaza reported that since israel broke the ceasefire with Hamas on 18 March 2025, 1978 people have now been killed and 5,207 injured. The israel-Gaza war started 18 months ago, and since then, 51,355 Palestinians have been confirmed killed and 117,248 wounded in the war. The Government Media Office in Gaza updated its death toll to more than 61,700 by saying that a lot of people are missing under the rubble of the building and are assumed dead.

According to Health Officials, in the attack on israel by Hamas in October 2023, in which 1200 people and 251 hostages were taken to Gaza. More than 51,300 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since then by israel. Muslim countries should have to take a major step against israel attack and cruelty and give support to Gaza.
