Junaid Zafar Pakistani-Origin Cricketer Died On Pitch In Australia

Junaid Zafar Khan who is Pakistani-Origin moved to Australia in 2013 and died on Pitch in Australia during the match. He collapsed and died due to heatwaves in Adelaide. The sad incident happened during a game at Concordia College in Adelaide between Old Concordians and Prince Alfred Old Collegians. Junaid Zafar Khan died while batting for the Old Concordians on Saturday and the temperature was reportedly recorded at 41.7 degrees Celsius. He was 40 years old and got a heatwave shock, medical team tried to revive but they didn’t get the desired results.

In the Statement, The Old Collegians said, “We are deeply disappointed by the death of the valued player of the Old Concordians’ Cricket Club, who unfortunately suffered a medical incident while playing on the Concordia College oval.” Despite the best tries of the medical team, they said that he did not survive and died on the pitch. During his difficult time, heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, and teammates.

According to reports, he worked in the tech industry after shifting to Adelaide from Pakistan. Hassan Anjum who is a close friend of Junaid termed his death as a “big loss”. His friend Anjum told the Advertiser, “It’s a huge loss for us. he was destined for big things in his life.” Moreover, Matches can be continued if the temperature is at 40 degrees centigrade.
