On Wednesday, Pakistan and South Africa played 3rd match of the Tri-Nation Series at the National Stadium of Karachi. Pak Defeated SA by 6 Wickets and a historic chase partnership of 260 runs by Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha. With the cracked centuries of Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan entered the finals of the Tri-Nation Series, and having 6 wickets in hand Pakistan won this match from South Africa. Rizwan and Salman’s partnership led Pakistan to the highest chase in all one-day internationals of 353 runs in 49 overs Rizwan smashed 122 runs and was not out while Salman scored 134 for his First-ever century at the National Stadium of Karachi.

Pakistan is in the finals now and will face New Zealand at the National Stadium of Karachi on Friday, it will be the warm-up Match for both teams before the Champions Trophy 2025 which will start next week. The centuries made by Mohammed Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha break the record of Matthew Breetzke’s of scoring the highest runs by a batsman in his 2 one-day International Matches of 150 and 83 runs. Breetzke’s innings had made up an impressive South Africa total of 352-5. Rizwan and Salman Partnership has set up a groundbreaking stand of 260 runs and made a new record for the 4th wicket for the Pakistan team. In addition, they broke the record of Shoaib Malik and Younis Khan’s partnership of 206 runs against India at Centurion in 2009.

Their Ferocious Innings should also wipe out the doubts about the team’s weak batting performance as they break the record of the highest successful chase of 349 runs in Lahore against Australia in 2022. Pakistan Captain Mohammad Rizwan hit three sixes and nine boundaries on 128 balls and Vice Captain Salman Ali Agha hit 16 boundaries and two sixes on 103 balls and was knocked out.

Rizwan Said, “When God helps, you break all kinds of records. We were looking to restrict them to 320 but Klaasen took them to 350. Kushdil Shah Said, “When we were going back after the first innings, we had chased 350 before so those were inspiring words.” Captain of South Africa Temba Bavuma blamed the flat pitch for their match loss.
