PCB Shares Latest Update On Saim Ayub’s Injury

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shares the latest update about Saim Ayub’s ankle injury. Pakistan’s top-order batter has been out of the ground for over a month, and PCB said he will stay out of action for another month. In a statement, PCB said that Saim will carry on with his rehabilitation in England and is making progress well in his recovery from the right ankle fracture.

The Cricket Board said, “Following thorough MRI scans and medical examination, Saim has been excluded for 10 weeks from the date of injury (January 3).” The PCB confirms Saim Ayub’s availability for the New Zealand tour, subject to clearing all the fitness tests and medical requirements. Ayub was sent to London for medical treatment for an Ankle injury. Saim, the star performer in the Pakistani batting order, suffered the injury while fielding in a Test match against South Africa in Cape Town last month.

The Pakistan Cricket Board said he was eliminated from the team because he is a valuable asset. The PCB is devoted to prioritizing his long-term health over making quick decisions. Star batter Saim Ayub has been ruled out of the squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 because of his right ankle injury.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be featured in Pakistan and Dubai. In Dubai, only matches against India will take place because India will not visit Pakistan for security reasons. Pakistan will visit New Zealand from 16 March to 5 April for the upcoming five T20Is and three ODI Series in New Zealand. After playing these matches, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will start on April 8 in Pakistan.
