PSL X: Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings Match Has Been Rescheduled

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rescheduled the 8 May PSL X match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings at Rawalpindi stadium. Due to security reasons, the game, which was going to start with the toss at 7:30 pm and the first ball bowled at 8 pm, was not played. PCB will announce the exact dates of the matches when the situation is under control.

PCB has also announced the refund of tickets for the public of Pakistan. Ticket holders can get their refund from the TCS Express Centre for yesterday’s match. The main reason for the postponement of yesterday’s PSL X match was the drone crash near the Rawalpindi Stadium. To ensure the safety of National and International players as well as the fans of cricket. A source close to PCB said that all the remaining matches will be played in Karachi due to security concerns.

The Chairman of PCB has called an urgent meeting with the Ministry of Interior to discuss the security scenarios, where they have decided to postpone yesterday’s PSL X match and will announce the dates of matches again. According to Officials, the remaining matches will be played in Karachi Stadium. The PCB has not shifted the matches to Karachi because of the airspace shutdown by the Government of Pakistan due to the drone attacks by the Indian Army.

A total of 8 matches of PSL X are remaining, and the final game was planned to be played at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore, but now the situation is not stable. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken the decision to shift the PSL X upcoming matches to the United Arab Emirates. Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said in a statement that politics and sports need to be apart. He also expressed regret that Pakistani fans will not be able to see the matches of this tournament.
