Jaffar Express Train was hijacked on 11 March in Balochistan’s Bolan district state media said on Wednesday that Security Forces rescued 190 passengers from the train and killed 30 terrorists. The rescue operation continues on its 2nd day of Hijacking. About 157 km away from Quetta near the Mashkaf Tunnel the terrorists hijacked the train named Jaffar Express and took 400 passengers hostage including many security persons. This incident happened on Tuesday 11 March. Around 450 persons including security persons were on the train when the train was hijacked, BLA claims the responsibility.

Security Forces started their operation and rescued 190 passengers from the train including 37 injured persons and 57 rescued persons were shifted to the provincial capital. According to the state media, Terrorists are in contact with their facilitators in Afghanistan. Security Personnel claims that 190 people have been rescued so far including women and children and they have killed 30 terrorists. The operation continues to eliminate the remaining terrorists, said security forces in a statement. The passengers who were injured in this incident were sent to medical treatment.

Radio Pakistan said, “The terrorists are responsible for the Attack on Jaffar Express and they are in contact with their members who are in Afghanistan.” The suicide bombers were placed near some innocent hostages by terrorists. The suicide bombers are also wearing explosives vests.” The report said, “The Terrorists are using innocent hostages as their shields.” They added, that the Suicide bombers had taken the women and children to 3 different locations and the operation was managed in caution by security forces because of hostages.
