Hania Amir’s debut blockbuster film “Sardar Ji 3” was not released in India due to political tensions between Pakistan and India. But still managed to break the Box Office record in the first week of its release. Diljit Dosanjh and Hania Amir’s film has been praised worldwide, but due to political tensions with the neighbouring country, Indian cinemas have not released “Sardar Ji 3”, which features a Pakistani actress. The movie has broken the record of several box offices in the film industry. According to the Traders outlet, this Punjabi film has become the highest-grossing movie of 2025.

The Film Federation of Western Indian Cinema (FWIC) reinstated the ban on Pakistani actresses working in India because of the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people were killed, which intensified political tensions between India and Pakistan. Sardar Ji 3 producers, including Diljit Dosanjh, have decided to release this Punjabi movie overseas, casting Hania Amir, Neeru Bajwa, Jasmin Bajwa and Gulshan Grover. At the North American box office from 4 to 6 July, the Punjabi film has secured its position in the top 12 highest-grossing movies.

According to Cinemania World, the movie earned $751,660 in its second week, bringing its total worth to $2.76 million. The movie has held its position by competing against blockbuster Hollywood movies like Jurassic World: Rebirth, How to Train Your Dragon, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, and more. The film Sardar Ji 3 was released on 27 June 2025, and earned 3.50 crore PKR (USD 125K), which is the first ever highest earning for an Indian film in Pakistan.
