PAF Win Two Global Awards At UK Air Show RIAT 2025

At the Royal International Air Tattoo Show RIAT 2025 in the United Kingdom, Pakistan Air Force fighter jets have won top awards in two categories, PTV reported on Saturday. The air tattoo show RIAT 2025, which runs from July 18 to 20, is one of the world’s largest military air shows powered by the trust of the Royal Air Force, which has been running for more than 50 years, according to its website.

In a statement, ISPR said that a contingent of the Pakistan Air Force, comprising the latest JF-17 Thunder Block III fighter jets and C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, paid a courtesy visit to the Royal Air Force Fairford in the UK on Thursday to join in the RIAT 2025 show.

PTV reported that the JF-17 Block III has won the award “Spirit of the Meet Trophy” at the Royal Air Tattoo Show in the UK, for its extraordinary voyage through Pakistan with its impressive and non-stop air-to-air refuelling. According to an ISPR press release issued this week, the JF-17 Thunder Block III fighter jets carried out air-to-air refuelling operations en route to the UK with the assistance of a PAF  IL-78 aerial refuelling tanker. The C-130H Hercules received the “Concours d’Elegance Trophy” at the RIAT 2025 airshow.

PTV said the awards were given for the aircraft’s excellent flying and technical skills. They also said the JF-17C Block III showed Pakistan’s advanced defence technology. This achievement brought international respect to Pakistan’s aviation sector. PTV described the success in RIAT 2025 as proof of the capabilities of the Pakistan Air Force.
